Assyrian Writing Lessons in Seven Days

This book is a collection of the Writing Lessons that were prepared for adults for the HAT (Home Assyrian Teaching) group on Facebook. It is assumed that students already know how to read the letters and are familiar with pronunciations of letters and vowels in Assyrian language. Those who don’t should first consult and study my book entitled ‘Assyrian Reading Lessons in Six Days’, which is available from www.lulu.com, or any other book of their choice. Each writing lesson includes exercises. The students should do them to practice writing. The words used in this book have already appeared in ‘Assyrian Reading Lessons in Six Days’, which were taken from the Dictionary of the Assyrian Language by Alexander J. Oraham. The spelling of some of these words may not be correct and certain words may be foreign words which were commonly used in the dialect of Urmia.

Introduction:
This is the introductory video spoken in English language, explaining the book entitled: Assyrian Writing Lessons in Seven Days, and the new series of seven videos teaching how to write the Assyrian Alphabet. In the introduction it is explained that the Assyrian letters are written on seven beds. The large letters used in the book were designed by the late Rabi Youel Davis, while the Estrangelo letters were created by the late Rabi Issa Benyamin.
